The World's Largest Single-Unit Magnetite Mine; The First Industrial Intelligent Permanent Magnet Motor Application

Sierra Leone, located in western Africa, has a tropical monsoon climate and the highest rainfall in Africa. Its economy is primarily based on agriculture and mining, and the country is rich in mineral resources. It boasts the world's largest single magnetite mine, the Tonkeli Iron Mine.

At the end of 2015, the company developed and delivered three 315kW industrial intelligent permanent magnet motors to address industry application issues such as high humidity and heat, high corrosion, and poor power supply stability in the on-site environment. In 2016, it delivered another 200kW industrial intelligent permanent magnet motor to achieve reliable mining and transportation of iron ore mineral resources.

The application of this iron ore industry scenario is the first overseas application of the industrial low-speed, high-torque intelligent permanent magnet motor. It brings Chinese manufacturing to the construction of the Republic of Sierra Leone, the world's largest single magnetite project, and promotes the development of China-Sierra Leone relations. It is a model of win-win cooperation and common development between China and African countries!
